When I was a little girl, I watched my grandmother fill very large mason jars with green tomatoes.  She would add a bunch of herbs, water, and salt, seal the jars and carry them upstairs to the attic where they stayed for what seemed forever….

That was a very long time ago...and in today’s modern world, unfortunately, the art of Lacto- Fermentation has all but disappeared.


What will eating wild fermented veggies do you for you:  enhance digestibility, increase vitamin levels, and build a stronger immune system. Lacto fermented veggies have antibiotic and anticarcinogenic substances. Lactic acid not only keeps vegetables and fruits in a state of perfect preservation but also promotes the growth of healthy flora throughout the intestine. When we lost touch with this food preservation method we also lost touch with the incomparable health benefits that came with them.
